A special Lecture Series on Law and Religion by Prof. Jeroen Temperman (Erasmus University Rotterdam) will be held in November 24-25, 2025 within the MA course Religions and Human Rights.

The two lectures will take place at Ca’ Borin, via Del Santo, 22, Aula B2:

  1. November 24, 16:30 – Religions, Human Rights and AI
The impact of artificial intelligence is omnipresent, rapidly transforming our world and daily lives. This lecture examines the effects of AI on human rights and religion, with a particular focus on the right to freedom of religion or belief.
  2. November 25, 16:30 – Religion-State Relationships and Human Rights
Models of religion-state relationships vary widely across countries, ranging from religious states to highly secular jurisdictions. This lecture explores how these models influence human rights implementation and investigates whether international human rights law favors or opposes specific approaches.

The seminars are open to students, faculty, and all interested members of the university community.
